Depending on what you choose to write, this project can make a wonderful housewarming, hostess or wedding gift. It also makes a wonderful picnic blanket. Because it is made of durable canvas, you don’t have to worry about spills

Mark Off Border

Create a border around the edge of your drop cloth by running two strips of painter’s tape six inches apart.

Select a Quote

Choose a quote (or two if they are brief) that you like or get creative and devise one of your own. We used “one cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well” by Virginia Woolf, and added “so let’s eat, drink, and be merry” to fill in the design.

Outline the Words

Use disappearing ink to outline your quote. This will ensure proper spacing and help you avoid mistakes.
