Step 1: Watch an Overview Video

Step 2: Gather Your Materials and Tools

        Materials and Tools:

        single-lever faucet
        wrench
        plumber's putty
        screwdriver
        power drill
        glass shelves
        shelf supports
        LED lights

        Step 3: Update the Sink

To get the most for your money in a kitchen update, concentrate on well-chosen visual elements.

Update the old sink with a professional-style, single-lever faucet.

For easy installation, make sure the new faucet stem matches the old faucet hole.

Step 4: Replace the Cabinet Fronts

Instead of buying new cabinets, replace the old doors and drawer fronts. Trade out the old cabinet hardware for new.

        Step 5: Install Glass-Front Cabinets

A glass-fronted cabinet lit from within can focus design.

Start by removing the old shelves.

Measure the shelves to determine the exact size. Get a glass company to cut new glass shelves.

Tip: The thicker the glass, the heavier the load it will support.
The standard is 3/8 inch. Edges can be penciled, flat, beveled, waved, glossy, polished or satin.

        Install clear shelf supports.

Slip the shelving into place. For safety, wear gloves when handling glass.

LED lights do not require wiring. Install LED lights inside cabinet top.
