Highlights:
Step 1: Prep the Tool
The 13" planer has a removable gib that you take out to insert the molding knife behind the planer blade (Image 1). The molder requires a set of three blades (Image 2). Change the speed on the gearbox from 20' per minute to 10' per minute FPM when shifting the tool from a planer to a molder.
Step 2: Work on Molding
The infeed/outfeed table on the molder allows you to work on molding up to 6" wide. When using the molder, make sure the hood is on tight. The planer/molder should be used with a dust collection system.
