Step 1: Measure and Add Plumb Lines
Measure fireplace surround and create a line on the wall that is perfectly plumb. This line will be used when attaching the first panel, so all remaining panels will also be plumb.
Step 2: Cut Panels
Cut panels to size with circular saw. Make sure all measurements are correct before you begin cutting the panels as mistakes can be costly.
Step 3: Attach Panels
Fit the cut panels together like a jigsaw puzzle, matching up lines to create a seamless pattern. Attach panels to fireplace surround with screws. Finally, smooth any rough edges with sandpaper and caulk screw holes and seams for a finished look.
