...you could just buy one already made. Go to www.cantonantiques.com They also waterproof them so you don't ruin the top. I have seen people do it themselves (I am a real estate agent and it looks good at first but doesn't last. I have seen homes with one of Canton Antiques vanities and you can really tell the difference. I think it is worth the extra money once you add up the cost of the vanity, sink, faucet, and materials.
I also like the rustic vanities. They aren't antiques but look really good in the ranch style home or log cabins. I am currently building a home and I am going to put them in all the bathrooms.
