Step 1: Remove the Old Outlet
Cut the power off at the electrical panel.
Clip the wires from the old outlet with cutting pliers. This will expose new wiring to connect to the new outlet (Image 1).
Step 2: Install the New Outlet
Install the new outlet following the manufacturer's instructions and replace the outlet cover.
Turn the power back on and check that the outlet is working correctly.
