To prevent the trim from splitting when you remove it, carefully score around it with a utility knife to break the polyurethane seal.
Take off the trim and the jamb nailer with a small prybar. Take extra care when you remove the trim in particular since it is not as easily replaced as the jamb nailer.
Remove the old pocket door from the opening and detach the hardware so it can be reused on the new one, if necessary.
