        • Time

          Weekend

        • Price Range

          $50 - $100

        • Difficulty

          Moderate

        Highlights:

Step 1: Chisel and Grind the Crack

Chisel and grind the crack to make a wider area for patching. (You'll need a wider area so the patch material will adhere better.)

        Step 2: Vacuum the Crack

Clean surface of all dust, dirt and loose material -- and vacuum the crack.

clean surface entirely including the crack

Step 3: Mix the Patching Material

Mix the patching material to a plastic-like consistency.

        Step 4: Dampen the Surface

Before applying the patch material, dampen the surface with a water spray.

        Step 5: Apply the Material

Apply the material with a margin trowel or pointing trowel and smooth it out. After it's semi-dry, clean the edges of the crack with a wrung-out sponge.

use a margin or pointing trowel to apply material

        Step 6: Apply the Sealer

Don't walk on the surface for at least 24 hours. Roll on a water-based sealer after the concrete has cured.
