        How to Patch the Edge of a Laminate Countertop

        Learn how to re-glue a broken piece of laminate countertop.

        Here's How To Do It:

        A repair is achieved by disguising the damage. Laminate manufacturers' supply fillers that are color-matched for small holes. Reattach broken edging as shown.

        Apply Contact Adhesive

        Apply contact adhesive to both the countertop edge and the broken section of laminate (Image 1).

        Wait for it to become tacky and stick it in place — use masking tape to hold it securely (Image 2).

        Finish the Repair

        Once the adhesive has dried, remove the masking tape and use a pencil or crayon to disguise any white edges along the seam.
