The hardwood floor is covered with rosin paper (a heavy paper, less slippery than tarps), which will protect the floor from accidental paint spills. The ceiling edges and trim are dusted and taped to prevent paint bleed.
Using brushes and Mozart Blue paint, Shannon and crew cut in around the ceiling and trim, creating a clean paint line. Deep blue is a great dining room color because it creates a dramatic backdrop and evokes the feeling of nighttime.
Paint is rolled over the walls and allowed to dry before a second coat is applied.
