Step 1: Prep the Desk for Painting

Remove the drawer pulls from the desk, sand and wipe it clean.

Step 2: Apply Tinted Primer and Satin Finish

Brush and roll on 502 Grasslands tinted primer. Let dry.

Tape off the top of the desk, then brush and roll on the rest of 502 Grasslands Satin Finish. Let dry.

Benjamin Moore 502 Grasslands in satin finish

Step 3: Mix Decorative Coating with Concentrated Colors and Apply

Mix Shimmer Stone Decorative Architectural Coating with Color Concentrate in Wet Cement and trowel or sponge on a solid coat on the desk top surface (Image 1). Let dry.

Step 4: Sponge on Pebble Beach Coating

Mix Shimmer Stone Decorative Architectural Coating with Color Concentrate in Pebble Beach. Sponge on the desk top creating an organic pattern (Image 2). Let dry

Step 5: Roll on the Varnish

Roll on MM dead flat varnish on top surface only.

Reattach drawer pulls.
