        How to Paint a Cool Blue Classic Bedroom

        A solid coat of light blue brings a classic, cool look to the bedroom walls.

        Highlights:

        Step 1: Prep the Walls

        Lay out rosin paper and tape down.

        Tape off door, window trim and baseboards.

        Step 2: Paint Corners and Edges of Upper Walls

        Cut in corners and edges and with an angle brush.

        Apply the rest of the paint with the roller.

        Step 3: Tape off Around Lower Walls

        After the upper walls have dried, tape off the top edge to make a clean line.

        Step 4: Cut in Edges of Lower Walls

        Cut in using an angle brush with 1669 Saratoga Springs in a pearl finish.

        Tip: Using a lower sheen such as pearl or eggshell will help hide flaws on older paneling and trim.

        Step 5: Apply Paint to Lower Walls

        Roll paint on the panels with the small foam rollers.

        Step 6: Paint the Trim

        Cut in with angle brush to paint the trim.

        Carefully remove tape, before paint is allowed to dry to keep paint from peeling.
