        How to Make a Push Block

        Push blocks and push sticks are invaluable tools for the table saw and joiner. These accessories help keep your hands away from the blade and out of harm's way when cutting.

        In this Project you will:

        Step 1: Cut a Rabbet, and Attach a Kickstand

        Cut a rabbet into one end of a block of wood.

        Attach a small block of wood into the rabbet to use as the kickstand.

        Step 2: Add Rubber and a Handle

        Use spray adhesive to add a piece of rubber to keep the push block from slipping.

        Finally, attach a handle to the other side of the block.
