Highlights:

Step 1: Install the Horizontal Track

Measure the depth and length of the closet to determine the size of shelving needed.

Install the horizontal track. It should be placed as high as possible and attached to studs for strength. Use a level to make sure the track is straight.

Step 2: Cut and Install the Standards

Measure down from the track to the point where the lower shelf will be. This measurement should be the minimum length of the vertical standard.

Cut the standards by using a hacksaw (Image 1). Smooth the rough edges with a metal file (Image 2).

Attach standards to the horizontal track (Image 3). Don’t hang more than 24" apart and do not secure the standards until the shelves are fit in place.

Step 3: Cut the Shelving

Use bolt cutters to cut shelving and cover ends with plastic tips.

Step 4: Attach the Brackets

A bracket is needed for every point where the shelf touches the vertical standard.

The hooks on the wide end of the bracket slide in to the slots on the standard and snap in to place.

Secure each standard to the wall with screws.
