Measure the room and make sure there isn't a sliver of carpet at the end of the room.
To cut a panel, mark the cut line. Use a utility knife to cut the panels. It takes a few passes because you're cutting through pad, moisture barrier and the carpet.
In order to achieve a wall-to-wall look, make sure the panels are snug together and no fibers are trapped between the panels.
