Make sure the tiles are clean and start on the mark, setting the tile on the reference line. Take the time to make sure you have perfect alignment. The tiles stick on contact but can be adjusted. Work your way into the room, kneeling carefully as you work. You can walk on tile but make sure your shoes are clean.
Use a tile cutter for vinyl composite tile. Mark the tile and use a speed square as a guide for a straight cut. Use a utility knife and carpenter's square if you need to cut a size that won't fit into the tile cutter.
Put a sealer on the floor when finished.
