Insert a double-ended screw in each end of the rod, and attach a knob to each end. Paint or stain the rod and knobs as desired.
Install the rod brackets on the wall, making sure to screw them into wall studs to support the weight of the items that will hang from the rod.
Hang pots from the rod with S hooks. Attach a shelf to the top of the unit if desired.
Note: To hang a pot-rack rod from the ceiling instead of wall brackets, screw eyebolts into the rod, attach a length of chain to each screw eye, and hang from eyebolts installed in the ceiling joists.
