Remove doors and hardware from cabinet before hanging, then determine height to install cabinets.
Mark line where the bottom of the cabinets will be and install a temporary ledger board to support the cabinets during installation.
Locate studs in the wall and transfer the measurements of the locations to the top and bottom mounting strips on the cabinets
Use countersink drill bit to pre-drill holes in the mounting strips. Lift cabinet onto wall and check for level and plumb, using shims where necessary.
Secure in place using 3” wood screws into the pre-drilled mounting holes.
Trim shims where necessary using a utility knife to score them before breaking them off.
Install doors and other hardware.
With the wall cabinets in place, move to the base cabinet installation. First, remove doors and hardware from cabinet before installing
Next, locate studs in the wall and transfer the measurements of the locations to the top and bottom mounting strips on the cabinets.
Pre-drill holes in the mounting strips with a countersink drill bit.
Check for level and plumb (Image 1), using shims where necessary, both under (Image 2) and behind cabinets.
