Murphy bed installation

I agree with Critical Tinkerer. I was so excited about this project. But have been completely unsuccessful in finding the murphy bed kit that was used on the show. Addiditonal information would be so helpful!

Great Idea...but kinda incomplete

I really liked the thought process and the basic craftsmanship showcased, The ideas were definitely a place to start and build on. It would have been complete had DIY NETWORK included a product/manufacture link to find the kits used. I would have made online variations availble for tinkering with, makes it more personable by allowing different ways to put this together. Part of learning from a show is to get ideas and sources to build upon. Fix this, and it's a "Thumbs Up" situation. What suppliers were used, are there websites to visit for product availability or variations? This would be helpful.

Re-installing murphy bed on laminate floor with wood subfloor

I'm moving and taking my murphy bed with me. The new place has a wood subfloor and a laminate floating floor over the plywood subfloor. I'm wondering if the 3/4" plywood subfloor is strong enough to hold the bed mechanism. Also, do I need to remove the laminate flooring from the area where the mechanism bolts to the floor. Please help!!
