Remove the doors from the under-sink cabinet. This will keep them out of the way –- and out of harm's way –- during the installation.
Set the faucet in the correct countertop hole. Matt and Michelle had the professionals who installed their marble countertops also drill the correct holes for the fixtures. The marble is expensive and delicate enough that this is a job for the pros.
Attach the rubber washer to the faucet underneath the countertop, leaving the gap toward the back to accommodate a pop-up drain control. Secure the washer with a lock nut.
