How To Create a Sewing Center

Adding this designated space will give a sewer enough space and storage to work effectively.

Step 1: Prepare the Space

For the sewing corner, use a stud finder (Image 1) to find out where to install the ledger strip (Image 2).

Step 2: Create the Storage Space

To make the six cubby unit, glue nail and screw the pieces together just like the other shelves and entertainment center. This unit will sit under the counter and also act as a support.

Step 3: Add the Top to the Ledger Strip

After laying down the counter top (Image 1), use 1¼ inch screws to screw the ledger strip along the bottom of the countertop into the one on the wall studs we installed earlier (Image 2). This will provide a solid connection for the whole unit (Image 3).
