How to Construct a Stone Path

Step 1: Design the Path
Mark the outline of the path with string and stakes or landscape paint.
Step 2: Create a Base
Dig out the base of your path by removing about 6 inches of earth.
Step 3: Fill the Base
Fill the path with 3 inches of crushed gravel. Top the gravel with masonry sand and level the surface.
Step 4: Set Stones in Place
Place blue stone pieces ontop of sand surface in a pattern of your choice. Fill joints with masonry sand.
