        How to Clean a Showerhead

        You don't have to buy a new showerhead to get more water to come out; it may just need a good cleaning. Learn how to clean out a showerhead with these basic steps.

        In this Project you will:

        Step 1: Secure the Cleaning Bag

        Use a chemical that is safe for removing hard water deposits.

        Fill a small bag half full with the cleaner. Secure the bag around the showerhead using a rubber band.

        After a few minutes, remove the bag.

        Step 2: Rinse

        Before using the shower, run cold water through for a few minutes to ensure the chemical is gone.

        Note: Follow the manufacturer's instructions when using any chemical.
