        • Price Range

          $250 - $500

        • Difficulty

          Moderate to Hard

        Highlights:

        Step 1: Measure and Plan

Start by measuring the area where the storage unit will be placed.

Once you have the dimensions, sketch the design of the storage unit on paper.

        Step 2: Build the Frame

Make the frame by using 2x10s and cutting each board to the chosen specs.
When assembling the frame, use a forstner bit and 3" deck screws to assemble. It's also a good idea to use some carpenter's glue.

Build vertical rows for the separation pieces (Image 1). Add horizontal shelves to create cubbies (Image 2).

        Step 3: Paint the Frame

After assembling the frames, shelves and cubbies, sand down and finish with stain or paint.
