cedar screen hides air conditioning unit and trash
        • Time

          Day

        • Price Range

          $50 - $100

        • Difficulty

          Moderate

        Highlights:

        Step 1: Build the Frame

Cut the cedar posts and planks to fit the desired height of the gate/screen. The frame for the gate needs some clearance from the ground to make sure the wood does not soak up any excess water after a hard rain.

Step 2: Attach the Screen to the Walkway

The screen is secured to the walkway instead of the house, so masonry anchors hold the base that supports the posts. Secure the screen and gate to the anchors with a lug bolt. The new cedar screen now separates the air conditioning unit and trash can area from the outdoor dining area.
