        How to Apply a Distressed Ivory Finish to a Dresser

        A distressed ivory finish on this dresser brings back some style and turns a blah bedroom suite into a romantic boudoir.

        Highlights:

        Step 1: Prime the Dresser

        Apply primer to furniture, following product directions, and allow to dry.

        Step 2: Apply the Distressed Finish

        Follow manufacturer's directions to apply base coat of distressed finish.

        Step 3: Sand and Finish the Piece

        Allow to dry thoroughly, then sand. Remove dust, then apply antique distressed top coat. Remove a little of the top coat with a dry rag to create the desired finish.
