How to Add Track Lighting
In this Project you will:
Step 1: Remove Old Fixture and Measure
Before beginning any type of electrical work, turn off power at circuit breaker.
Remove old fixture. Make sure that wires don't touch as you remove the fixture.
Position track over position of old fixture. Mark mounting holes through the track onto ceiling surface.
Step 2: Mount the Track
Use self-tapping screws (Image 1) — which don't require pre-drilled holes.
Attach jumper wires to house wires in ceiling, then attach jumpers to heart of track (Image 2).
Push all wires into ceiling and close up with supplied cover.
Step 3: Add Lights
Snap lights into place on track and add light bulbs.
Turn on breaker and aim lights where desired.
