        • Time

          1 hour

        • Price Range

          $50 - $100

        • Difficulty

          Easy to Moderate

        Highlights:

Step 1: Determine the Amount of Insulation Needed

Before adding any insulation to an attic, figure out how much insulation (R-value) is already there and what is recommended for the area.

After determining how many bags of insulation are needed, two people are needed to complete the task: One person to man the hopper and keep it full, and the other person to man the hose in the attic.

Step 2: Wield the Hose to Apply Insulation

Once the hopper is turned on, keep the hose moving to ensure even distribution. Place a hand over the hose like a baffle to help control the flow of insulation.
