How to Add Bronze Weatherstripping to a Door

Step 1: Measure the Bronze Strip and Cut to Size
Measure the sides and top of the door frame. Transfer the measurements to the spring bronze strip with a marker and cut the strip to length with metal-snips.
Step 2: Attach the Strip and Form a Seal
Nail the metal strips along the door stops at the point where the door contacts the stop when closed (Image 1). Space the nails 8" to 10" apart and make sure that the strip is butted against the doorstop. Once the entire strip has been installed, bend the outside half of the strip over to form the seal (Image 2).
