Sealing Air Leaks

Use roofing cement to seal air leaks around chimneys and plumbing stacks.

Seal base of exhaust fan with caulk or foam sealant.

Seal tops of recessed lights with caulk and airtight box of foam board.

Seal leaks in ductwork with water-based duct sealant or butyl-backed foil tape.

Furnace & Air Fliters

A variable-speed furnace doesn’t start and stop abruptly, which keeps air circulating more evenly.

To make air cleaner, install furnace filters and change them regularly.

To make air cleaner and healthier, install a whole-house furnace filtering system that removes allergens.

Control Unit

Control temperature and humidity with a programmable control unit.

TIP: Place unit on interior wall away from doors and windows; access it via apps on smart phone, tablet, and/or computer.
