Step 2: Gather Your Materials and Tools

With a few simple changes, an old armoire can serve as a great beverage center. First, gather the materials and tools you'll need to complete this project.

Materials and Tools:

armoire
hammer and nails
circular saw
plywood
metal shelving
“L” Brackets
black paint, wash and brush
screwdriver and screws

Step 3: Paint and Nail the Shelves

Place door shelves so they don't butt up against interior shelves when the doors close.

Paint all shelf pieces and allow them to dry before nailing the pieces together with finishing nails.

Step 4: Fasten the Brackets

Line all screws up against the walls of the armoire and armoire doors before fastening the "L" brackets to make sure they won’t poke through.

Step 5: Apply the Black Wash

Allow the red base coat to dry completely before applying the black wash.
