How to Paint a Textured Armoire

Step 1: Brush on Tinted Primer
Sand, brush and tack.
Brush on tinted primer 707 Calico Blue in criss-cross fashion to create texture and depth. Let dry completely.
Step 2: Draw a Fish Scale Pattern
Using a ruler and pencil draw out a grid to help as a rough outline.
Step 3: Paint Scale Pattern and Apply Glaze
Using masking fluid and round artist brushes to paint on fish scale pattern. Let dry completely.
Roll HC-139 Salisbury Green glaze and then stipple all over armoire including door panels for desired texture. Let dry completely.
Peel off masking fluid. Use primer for any touchups.
Step 4: Brush on Varnish
Brush on varnish tinted with Golden Iridescent Pearl around trim for a finished look.
Varnish entire armoire and let dry completely.
