Step 1: Place the Carpet Shield on the Floor
Lay down a carpet shield, a thin plastic film that will protect carpet from paint splatters, and roll over the carpet. The baseboards are left uncovered.
Tape off windows and ceiling with painter's tape.
Step 2: Cut in the Walls with Paint
Next, crew cut in the walls, baseboards and crown molding with Dark Mustard primer, then roll primer on the walls.
