The Tajima Plumb Rite plumb bob attaches to a vertical surface to measure its plumb. Its bob is suspended at the end of a 12-1/2 inch nylon line and comes to a heavy metal point. The housing has a spring-loaded metal pin to hold it in place so it can be suspended from a wooden surface. A magnet on the side will hold it to a metal surface. The line retracts automatically into the housing, eliminating the cranking associated with traditional plumb bobs.
