  • Bend and Cut Metal Corner Bead for Drywall
  • Nail Drywall Corner Bead in Place
  • Apply Compound to Corner with Drywall Knife
  • Apply Second Coat to Create Smooth Transition
  • Apply Drywall Joint Compound to Inside Corner
  • Smooth Compound Out By Feathering It In Place
  • Apply Joint Compound to Corner Using Drywall Knife
  • Crease Drywall Tape Along Seam with Knife
  • Smooth Drywall Tape in Place with Joint Compound
  • Sand Any Ridges Lightly and Sparingly When Dry
  • Apply Second Coat of Joint Compound to Corner
  • Feather Joint Compound Out for Smooth Finish
  • Fill Nail Holes in Drywall with Joint Compound
  • Apply Second Coat of Compound When First is Dry

Hang the First Sheet of Drywall

Lay out and mark the wall for the first sheet. If you are working alone, install a level support to carry the weight of the panel while you secure it in place.
