Landscaping Tools

A Harley rake, an auger and a bed edger are just a few helpful landscaping tools for creating the perfect lawn.

  • The Harley rake is a landscaper's best friend. An attachment for a front-end loader, a Harley rake is a large drum attached to a spinning hydraulic pump. It breaks up soil clots, then levels and grades.

  • An auger is another loader attachment. It works like a drill bit, drilling holes into dirt. Landscapers use it to install trees and shrubs. Augers can range from four to five inches in diameter.

  • A bed edger puts a three inch V-trench at the edge of a flower bed. It chops up dirt then sends it back into the flower bed to create a perfect edge along the bed.
