Jointers are simple machines, featuring a spinning head with encased knives, an infeed table and an outfeed table. The jointers shown here are all six-inch jointers; the main difference between them is capacity.
This jointer works well with short pieces of wood, but longer pieces hang off either end of the machine, causing the user to struggle to hold up the weight of the board and possibly resulting in a rippled or uneven cut.
