Two garages get upgraded into high-end auto shops: one for the pros at Car and Driver magazine and another for a California hot-rod enthusiast.

A new hydraulic auto-lift helps turn this space into a more functional, high-tech working garage. New paint and rubberized flooring, improved lighting and vintage auto accents help dress up the space. Stylized "car seat" couches and a drop-down video projection system create a space more conducive to hosting guests and journalists. A video-console racing simulator, recess mounted into the wall, uses a modified Murphy bed system allowing it to be hidden away when not in use.
