Chain Break (1 of 5)

First, always read the owner's manual before operating a chain saw.

The chain break is a safety feature that prevents the chain from moving. Engage the chain break by moving the handle forward; to disengage, move the handle back. The chain break should always be engaged when the user isn't actively using the chainsaw.
