Japanese Tea House and Garden

Episode DGFI-413

After visiting Japan, Nancy Lee and Glenn Rosenthal fell in love with the soothing style of Japanese gardens. Their son, Noah, is also into the Asian arts and is an active student of karate. The family has always wanted to create a Japanese tea garden in their yard to reflect their love for the culture, but aren't sure where to begin. So Jackie and Dean come to the rescue with a plan that will wipe the slate clean in the yard and give the area a complete overhaul with authentic Asian flair. An entire tea house is built from the ground up...with paper walls! And a tranquil garden is created without an inch of grass or mulch. From Jackie's favorite calligraphy tricks to Dean's creative carpentry, it's a complete yard makeover from top to bottom...and everyone in the family is involved!
