Evan Farmer brings his background in architecture, design and carpentry as host of DIY Network’s Door Knockers. In this role, he brings a crew of contractors and power tools to the neighborhood by creating an amazing room transformation right on the spot. Evan is a true handyman who even built his own airplane and spent four seasons on While You Were Out. In 2001, while living in Los Angeles, Evan sought to reconnect with his passion for architecture and formed Renovolution with friend and architect Tom Grathem renovating fringe area, single-family homes in New Orleans. Since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Renovolution has been rebuilding its properties to be utilized as halfway homes for families otherwise unable to return. This carpenter and designer studied architecture for two years and holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Tulane University.
