DIY Network master plumber and contractor Ed Del Grande comes by his trade honestly. He was raised in a family-owned plumbing business and spent his early days working in construction by day and as a professional comedian by night. After being voted one of America’s funniest comedians by Showtime and appearing on ABC’s America’s Funniest People, he retired from comedy to combine his performing and construction talents on home improvement television. He started on HGTV’s Dream Builders and The Fix and now promotes DIY Network on NBC’s Today, CNN and MSNBC. He holds master licenses in pipefitting, fire protection and plumbing and shares his knowledge nationwide as a guest speaker at home improvement events. He also writes a syndicated Q&A newspaper column for Scripps Howard News Service.
