    Spring Clamps

    • Spring clamps are lightweight clamps that can be used where spring pressure is adequate. They allow instant opening and closing where fast, easy application to a work surface or removal from a work surface is required. The clamps hold the work on the surface uniformly avoiding damaging the finish.

    • Spring clamps come in many different varieties including plastic, metal, adjustable, heavy duty, and mini. Plastic bodied spring clamps are lightweight, impact-resistant, and do not rust. They have soft jaw pads and a non-slip grip.

    • Metal spring clamps are nickel plated with a heavy duty tempered steel spring for maximum strength. The steel jaws and handles are plated to prevent rust. The jaws are polyvinyl coated to protect the work and to provide a good grip. The handles and jaw tips are available in many different sizes.

    • Adjustable clamps have soft pivoting pads. These clamps are ideal for clamping irregular-shaped objects.

    • There are also clamps designed for one-handed use with jaws that reach around odd shapes. To adjust, just squeeze and lock the clamp. To release, just click the lever. The pressure is as light or tight as you want it to be. These clamps work well for household jobs, gardening, and wood working.

    • Mini spring clamps can be used for hobby and woodcraft. The jaw ends pivot for secure, even grip.

    • The spring clamps used for the coffee table on Freeform Furniture are adjustable spring clamps. Adding spring clamps gives the laminate some weight on both ends and makes it easier to draw the curves for the coffee table's shape.

    • The pressure applied by the tips of spring clamps is sufficient for gluing or dry assembly. The point of pressure in the clamp always remains near the jaw tips throughout the entire range of openings to hold where needed. Spring clamps are widely used in both home and industrial applications.
