    Creating the Radius Detail

Adding this design touch doesn't take long, but it's fun to do and fun to see complete.

First, before cutting the sides for the tote, measure the 1x12 to twice the length of each side. For our TT 1.0, that would be 48 inches; for TT 2.0, it'd be 61 inches. Then cut it at the long measurement. (Photo 7)

Mark the halfway point on this long piece, both lengthwise and across its width. (Photo 8)

Use a compass to mark a circle around that halfway point. (Photo 9) The size isn't critical, but it should be proportional to the width of the board.

Draw a line across the board directly through the center of the circle. (Photo 10) Make sure the line is square to the edges of the board.

Use a drill to make a starter hole (Photo 10), then cut out the circle with a jigsaw.

Cut the board in half through the middle of the circle (Photo 11). You now have two legs with a radius detail at the bottoms.
