    Grouting

    1. Pour grout powder into a clean bucket and then add some water and mix it up using a putty knife. Add more water and continue to mix until it has the consistency of toothpaste.

    2. Use a hard rubber float to apply the grout over the entire glass area. Hold the grout at an angle, spread it diagonally, pushing it down into the joint (figure A). Repeat this process on the entire tiled area.

    3. Once the grout lines are all packed, go over the surface again -- holding the float at a steeper angle to remove all the excess grout (figure B) from the surface of the tile.

    4. After approximately 20 minutes, a haze will begin to form on the tiles. Wipe this off with a damp sponge. You need to repeat the process several times until all grout residue is removed.

    5. Clean up the grout joints with a dental tool (figure C) -- (available at medical supply stores).

    6. Go over all the grout joints with a grout sealer to keep the water from penetrating.
