Paul explains the manufacturing process for the waterfall. Before hanging the slate, its decided which piece should go on which bracket. Next, each piece of slate is lifted into place and all of the decorative copper cover pieces are positioned where they belong. Finally, the light hood is positioned over the slate.

Time: 10 hours over two days. Difficulty Rating: This project rates a 3 out of 5 on the Weekend Handyman difficulty scale.Materials: Safety glasses Work gloves Waterfall kit Drop cloth Carpenters pencil Flathead screwdriver Level Laser level Hammer Tape measure Power drill Stud finder Right angle impact driver 2-1/2" screws 2-1/4" lag screws Wall anchors Cotton cloth or sponge Spray bottle Distilled water Hanging the Slate 1. Before hanging the slate, decide which pieces need to go in which order. 2. Carefully, lift the first piece of slate and hang it on the wall bracket (figure A). While lifting, push up the water disperser so it sits right on top of the slate. 3. Next, hang the copper "curtain" on the wall bracket (figure B). This will prevent water from splashing behind the wall.
4. Adjust the water disperser bar. Make sure its firmly seated behind the bracket, between the melamine and the steel. The front should sit snugly on the beveled edge of the slate (figure C).5. Vacuum out any dirt and debris in the basin. 6. Set in the splashguard just slide into basin. Set it as far as it will go against the back of the slate (figure D). 7. Position the side rails onto the edges of the slate (figure E).
8. To cover the copper basin and hide the J-brackets, slide the decorative cover into place (figure F). 9. Measure and mark the placement for the light hood, tap and then screw in a couple of wall anchors (figure G).
10. Position the light hood over the slate (figure H), and fasten into the wall using a right angle impact driver (figure I).
