    Figure A

Water gardens can be enjoyed inside the house as well as outside. A garden atrium is the focal point of Debby Leon's home. A natural-looking pond, complete with murals and plants, greets visitors as they enter her house. The mural gives viewers a sense of being outdoors.

A control panel for the pond is camouflaged behind a garden mural. The control panel regulates the operation of windows and Venetian blinds to provide the pond with adequate light.

The waterfall is controlled by a gate valve located in the pond (figure A). The sound of its splashing water gives hearers a feeling of tranquility.

A specific amount of surface area is needed to support fish in the pond. Check with an aquarium store to find out how many fish you can keep, given the size of your pond.
