    Topics covered on today's episode:

Repairing metal that is pulling away from glass in a sliding window

    Painting vinyl windows

    Loosening double-hung windows

    Removing silicone from drywall

    Replacing a window crank

Removing a screwdriver from a wall and repairing the wall

    Repairing peeling paint in bathroom

    Repairing torn drywall paper

Removing wallpaper that was applied without sizing

Containing the dust when drywalling a room

Pros and cons of using a professional exterminator

    Tips:

    • A putty knife will protect glazing putty and speed up your work when scraping windows.

    • When washing windows, use vertical swipes on one side and a horizontal motion on the other, and you'll always know which side the streaks are on.

    • Leftover tea is an excellent window and mirror cleaner. The stronger it is, the better it works.

    • Before you begin taping your drywall project, drag the blade of your putty knife over any fasteners and listen for the "metallic click" of any protruding fastener heads.

    • Never return leftover drywall mud to the pail. There are bound to be chunks in it that will plague you for the rest of the job.
