DIY Network's Under Construction breaks the mold of do-it-yourself television, delving deep into the world of big city construction. The show follows licensed contractors John DeSilvia and John Palanca as they build, demolish, renovate and refurbish projects all over New York City. Beyond the massive construction projects that keep them on the run, JD and Palanca deal with the daily drama of running a small business in the Big Apple: demanding clients, inflexible city officials and staffers with, shall we say, questionable work ethics. Funny, exciting and innovative, a show as watchable as Under Construction is long overdue.
