Make your camping trip a success by taking along the right tools. Many types of compasses are available, each made for specific purposes. One has a magnifying glass for reading maps (figure A). Multipurpose tools provide blades, bottle openers, screwdrivers, pliers and other useful gadgets (figure B). Special camping flashlights can double as floor lanterns (figure C). Wire saws are useful when backpacking because they weigh only a few ounces (figure D). They're good for cutting small pieces of wood.
